The Most Promising American Basketball Star
One of the great players in basketball, Shaquille Rashaun O’Neal was born on March 6, 1972 to Lucille O’Neal and Joseph Toney. He and his father are still not on talking terms because Toney was not at all involved in his life. Shaquille is jack of multiple trades. He is also a rapper, actor, and now working as an analyst in the television program, Inside the NBA. In 1994, he voiced his disdain for his biological father and his regard for Phil, his step-father. He gives credit to Boys and Girls Club of America for keeping safe from all bad influence and wrong company. He made his team, Robert G. Cole High School victorious and also helped the team to snatch the state championship title from the defending champions when he was in senior year. January 31, 2012 is a special day for him because on this day, he was bestowed with the honor of being one of the thirty-five greatest McDonald’s All-Americans. He studied business in Louisiana State University and under Dale Brown who was the varsity’s coach, he won many prizes, like, he was Adolph Rupp Trophy champion two times, was recipient of SEC Player of the year twice. He had left the university to pursue a career in Basketball but he resumed his studies even after being a professional player. Since he was invaluable to the varsity and also famous, he was inducted to LSU hall of fame. There is a bronze statue of his gracing the hall.
