Klinker Signs with Utah State
Lizzy Klinker has been known for one thing only and that is winning and she continued her winning habits on Wednesday by signing for the Utah State women’s basketball team.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by her close friends, family members as well as her former teammates. Klinker’s acquisition by Utah State was just one of the many deals which transpired on the first day the annual spring national signing day.
“It was just a great fit,” she said while referring to her decision of joining Utah State’s women basketball team.
6-feet tall Klinker had a spectacular season averaging an impressive 18.8 points per games with 9.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.3 blocks per game while she was playing for the Eagles which was depending on her this season.
Despite the fact, that she playing as a forward while in Eagles, Klinker was acquired by Utah State so as to take up the guard position, a challenge that she has welcomed with open arms.
Klinker’s decision on which College team she will be joining come the signing period was down to Junior college or Utah State with a possibility of joining the Washington State women’s basketball team in a year’s time. This is the second time in a row that Fairfield has produced a Division one talent.
The Utah State have not had such as a good season as they would have liked posting an 8-23 record for the 2014-15 season and they hope that Klinker will familiarize with her new teammates quickly and help the team reverse their bad run in the championship.
